Staff that has a simian figure clinging to the top as a finial. Halfway between this figure and the next is a spherical bulge in the shaft with two horizontal grooved lines encircling it. Below this in the lower 2/3rds of the shaft are three animal figures (probably dogs) carved so that they appear to be running up the shaft towards the finial.

Whole figure is flattened front to back. There are no feet and the legs run straight into the staff which has a coiled shape around its shaft. The bottom of the shaft appears to have broken off. Figure has some faint decorative lines.

The second figure has its arms held behind against the shaft and the lowest figure has them held so as to touch the sides of the belly.
